Mont Blanc challenge 7th anniversary
Just seven years ago from this Saturday, I set the timer on the Chamonix church square. It was 4:50 am on July 11, 2013 and with my friend Matheo, we were about to begin an adventure that we had been preparing for some time.
It's been seven years since I made the Mont Blanc ascent and descent new speed mark. The timer stopped three minutes before 5 a.m., specifically at 4:57 a.m. It is an image I will never forget.
RECAP THE STORY IN DÉJAME VIVIR
I arrived in Chamonix alone. As you may remember, Matheo could not finish because of a fall while we were descending. He decided to stop but encouraged me to finish by myself. I listened to him. With one glance we had enough to know what we thought about each other.
It was an extremely emotional day. I remember it like it was yesterday. The nerves before starting, the moments before reaching the top of Mont Blanc, the instant when Matheo decided to stop and especially when I stopped the clock at 9:22 in the square of the church in Chamonix. The joy was not complete because Matheo was not with me, and I know that he would have loved to finish the adventure together.

Today, seven years later, I still get excited when I talk about that day. I'm also lucky to be able to remember it with the film Déjame Vivir, which tells the second of the three Summits of my Life challenges. It is one of the most personal projects and one I am most proud of.
