A good result for Kilian Jornet in the first event of the Ski Mountaineering World Cup held in Verbier.

The athlete won the Individual Race yesterday and came in third position this morning in the Vertical Race, with penalty points because of a problem with the climbing skins.

"I have felt very good this weekend and strong enough to face coming races. Yesterday, the Individual Race went very well. It was intense and gave me confidence. This morning’s  vertical race was going well, but some problems came up and so in the end I finished third. Nevertheless, I consider that it was a positive result," declared Jornet after the race.
