Jornet has won the Alaska Mount Marathon in a race record time of 41'48''.
 
In a 5km-race with 921m of climb, athletes had to start the race in the town of Seward to reach the summit of Mount Marathon.
 
‘The race went very well. It has been a new experience and I am very satisfied. This race is amazing, not only because it is very technical but also because of the atmosphere surrounding it. The fact that an equal number of runners take part in the three categories: men, women and junior, is what makes this race unusual’ declared Kilian Jornet.
